You don’t need to be a prompt engineer to create stunning images with Visual Electric. But following a few simple tips and best practices can help you work efficiently and maximize your creative control.

Composer

Our composer is designed to simplify prompt writing, giving you creative control with six key elements:

• References: Add References to your prompt to guide generation

• Input field: Enter the prompt describing the image you want to create.

• Aspect Ratio: Set the dimensions of your image.

• Exclude: Specify attributes you’d like to omit (e.g., “no red,” “no cars”).

• Colors: Define a color palette for your image.

• Generate: Run the generation and select how many images you’d like to create.

Prompting basics

At minimum, a good prompt includes a subject and a location.

Prompt structure

• Start simple: Prompting is iterative. Begin with a simple description, then gradually add more detail. Starting simply helps you clearly see how each word or phrase influences the resulting image.

• Prioritize key terms: Place the most important terms at the beginning of your prompt, as early words have a stronger influence on the outcome.

• Use synonyms: If the model isn’t producing the results you’re after, experiment with describing the same idea multiple ways.

• Avoid overloading: Adding too much detail or overly emphasizing certain elements can lead to unexpected results. Sometimes removing words from your prompt will lead to better results.

Advanced prompt writing

Consider specifying camera and lighting information to get specific results.

• Camera proximity: Close-up, zoomed out, medium shot

• Camera position: aerial, shot from above, low angle

• Camera settings: motion blur, soft focus, bokeh, portrait

• Lens types: 35mm, 50mm, fisheye, wide angle, macro

• Lighting: natural, warm light, studio lighting, backlit

Remix images

Images provide excellent starting points for creating prompts. Simply drag an image onto your canvas, and a prompt will automatically be generated. You can then use the Remix button to refine or edit the prompt in the composer.
