Generative tools

Once you’ve generated or imported an image onto your canvas, use our generative tools to explore ideas and refine your images. Each tool has been thoughtfully designed to support your creative workflow and give you maximum control.

Art Director

To use Art Director, select an image on the canvas. The image will appear in your composer and you can use natural language prompts to refine the image.

Prompt: Make it out of stone

Retexture

Retexture lets you transform the surface appearance of objects in your images while retaining their original shapes, structure, and composition.

  • Prompt: Describe the desired look or surface texture you want to generate in your final image.

  • Style (optional): Choose a style for the resulting image.

  • Color (optional): Choose a color palette for the resulting image.

    • Canvas: Drag the frame edges directly on the canvas.

    • Preset sizes: Choose from a list of common aspect ratios.

    • Custom input: Manually input an aspect ratio

Upscale

Upscale allows you to enhance the resolution of your images, increasing clarity and detail.

  • Size: Choose from 2x, 3x, or 4x factor.

  • Creativity: Higher creativity produces richer detail but may introduce more noticeable changes to your original image.

Note: Upscale should be used as the final step in your workflow, since other tools may need to downsize large images before processing.

Retouch

Retouch allows you to regenerate specific parts of your image, helping you correct mistakes, remove blemishes, or eliminate unwanted elements. Use the brush to select areas you wish to retouch, then include an optional prompt.

  • Prompt (optional):

    • Leave empty to remove the painted area seamlessly.

    • Include a prompt to specify new content to be added in the selected area.

  • Brush Size: Adjust the brush size using the slider or keyboard shortcuts:

    • [ and ] to decrease or increase brush size.

    • Shift + [ and Shift + ] for larger increments.

Remove Background

Remove Background allows you to quickly and accurately remove the background from your image, isolating the main subject or object.
